construction |
Five
sided armoring of vehicle from firewall to rear of Passenger compartment
to defeat high-powered rifle fire as outlined in (Level CEN B6).
Vehicle armoring is constructed in such a way as to ensure that
a projectile following a linear or angled path shall not enter the
vehicle's armored Passenger compartment without contacting the armor
material. In addition to this, the possibility of a projectile entering
the vehicles armored interior due to a ricochet from the armor shall
also be minimized.
Floor of main passenger section is to be comprised of a steel sandwich
with full insulation, then rubberized for durability and safety.
Structure designed to protect occupants against fragmentation from
detonation of 2 DM-51 German ordnance hand grenades or equivalent.
Armor consists of all welded ballistic grade steel construction.
Ballistic steel exterior construction is to be utilized for strength
and protection.
Double walled all mig-welded construction includes the addition
of an interior support frame. This frame is to be constructed of
ballistic grade steel, and shall provide overlap protection for
principle impact areas such as doors and windows.
The interior frame also reinforces the structural integrity of the
vehicle, including areas that are often overlooked or ignored by
other manufacturers, such as the support pillars and posts around
doors and windows.
Insulation to be installed in sidewalls, ceiling, rear walls, floor
and doors.
All seams are interior mig-welded. |

| Glass |
Windshield
glass in front cab is to be replaced with ballistic resistant curved
glass to retain an OEM look while maintaining the vehicle's intended
level of protection.
The rear passenger compartment interior side walls will be equipped
with tinted flat ballistic glass to allow passengers to have an
open view of the outside environment, while still maintaining the
intended level of protection. Exterior automotive glass used will
be of a size and shape comparable to that of a commercially available
vehicle, thus maintaining a low profile appearance. Emergency exit
is built into side window glass.
Front door and passenger side door glass is flat ballistic glass
fitted into steel frames for support. Frames are fitted with composite
shield covers to retain OEM appearance.
Rear wall of vehicle shall not contain any windows, so as to maintain
the look of a shuttle-style vehicle.
All ballistic glass installed on the vehicle will incorporate the
following features: Anti-spall shielding, multiple impact protection,
Minimal delamination and/or discoloration.

equal to that of the rest of the armored compartment.

Both exterior doors (passenger and rear sections) are constructed
vault style for maximum security and protection against external
removal attempts.
Rear doors features stainless steel exterior door hinges.
